P&R Measurement has unveiled PRIME, its latest industrial AI agent, at DesignCon 2025, positioning itself at the forefront of smart manufacturing innovation. The company’s new AI-powered solutions are designed to modernise production processes, enhance human-machine collaboration, and integrate AI into legacy manufacturing systems.

    Transforming Industrial Manufacturing with AI

Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping the future of industrial productivity, and P&R Measurement is leveraging this shift with its latest advancements. PRIME, the company’s flagship AI agent, is designed to simplify complex tasks, reduce technical barriers, and make industrial engineering tools accessible to a broader range of users.

PRIME translates natural language commands into precise machine operations, bridging the digital and physical worlds. The technology enables manufacturers to implement AI-driven process automation without requiring extensive technical expertise. According to P&R Measurement’s Chairman, Lei Wang, AI advancements have significantly lowered the cost and complexity of adopting sophisticated manufacturing technologies, allowing for wider accessibility and efficiency.

Looking ahead, the company plans to expand PRIME’s capabilities, integrating it across multiple industrial platforms to streamline large-scale workflows, improve efficiency, and support sustainable manufacturing practices.

    Smart Manufacturing Takes Centre Stage

In addition to PRIME, P&R Measurement is showcasing its Smart Lab at DesignCon 2025. This advanced platform integrates automation, digitalisation, AI, and precision measurement technologies to accelerate product development. One notable application has been its role in optimising resource management for a major home appliance brand. By implementing Smart Lab’s energy-saving technologies, the client’s high-energy testing facilities reduced energy consumption by 30%, leading to significant research and development cost savings.

P&R Measurement is also exhibiting its A²S Lab sensory testing solutions and the A²TP flexible testing platform. These AI-driven tools help manufacturers complete complex product validation processes more efficiently, ensuring product reliability while enhancing the user experience.

A Global Vision for the Future

Beyond its latest AI-driven innovations, P&R Measurement is advancing its Global Distributed Design and Delivery (GD3) strategy, which aims to integrate AI, digitalisation, and measurement technologies on an international scale. The initiative seeks to foster innovation, attract top engineering talent, and push the boundaries of intelligent manufacturing.

With a strong focus on industrial automation and flexible manufacturing, P&R Measurement’s long-term vision is to make engineering development more accessible and efficient. By democratising advanced manufacturing technologies, the company hopes to drive industry-wide transformation while contributing to broader societal progress.

As AI continues to reshape the industrial sector, P&R Measurement’s innovations could mark a significant turning point in the way manufacturing is approached, making it smarter, more adaptable, and increasingly sustainable.
