Joan, the meeting room booking solution with the longest-standing tradition, has announced a significant milestone by integrating with Crestron scheduling solutions. The move, which follows official validation, allows Joan’s platform to work seamlessly with Crestron devices, offering organisations a streamlined approach to managing meeting spaces.

The integration addresses a common challenge in modern workplaces: the need to combine display hardware with room management software effectively. Joan’s open platform eliminates the need for organisations to choose between their preferred hardware and booking software. By leveraging Crestron devices, users can now access Joan’s intuitive scheduling system while maintaining their existing infrastructure.

Rok Zalar, CEO of Visionect, the company behind the Joan brand, highlighted the importance of flexibility in workplace solutions. “We understand that organisations often struggle to manage diverse meeting rooms with varying requirements,” he said. “Our goal is to enable Joan to integrate seamlessly into any environment, whether customers are using long-standing devices or the latest setups. This partnership with Crestron ensures a hassle-free experience that enhances productivity without the need for significant changes to existing systems.”

Bob Bavolacco, Director of Technology Partnerships at Crestron, echoed these sentiments. “As companies adapt to hybrid workforces, meeting rooms remain vital spaces for meaningful collaboration. Crestron room scheduling panels now natively support the Joan platform, enabling employees to book rooms in advance or find available spaces for impromptu meetings. This partnership ensures an intuitive and efficient experience for users.”

The integration also incorporates Crestron’s LED indicators, which provide visual status updates for meeting rooms. With green lights indicating availability and red lights showing occupancy, employees can quickly identify the status of rooms at a glance. This intuitive feature further enhances the user experience by simplifying the booking process and reducing the time spent searching for available spaces.

Joan’s reputation in workplace technology has been built on its commitment to flexibility and user-friendly design. The company’s product range includes solutions for meeting room and desk booking, as well as visitor management. Joan’s proprietary e-paper schedulers exemplify its focus on simplicity and sustainability, featuring high-contrast displays, a three-month battery life, and wireless mounting.

By integrating with Crestron, Joan strengthens its position as a leader in workplace solutions, offering organisations the ability to optimise meeting room management without being constrained by rigid systems. This development reflects the growing demand for seamless, adaptable tools that support hybrid working models and enable efficient collaboration in office environments.

With this latest achievement, Joan continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing workplace productivity while maintaining a focus on sustainability and innovative design.
