Vantage Foundation has partnered with National Burn Hospital Le Huu Trac in Hanoi, pledging financial and emotional support to patients undergoing treatment for severe burn injuries. The collaboration aims to ease the burden on families struggling with medical costs while offering moral support to those facing long and difficult recoveries.
With an increase in mass burn injuries across Vietnam, the National Burn Hospital plays a crucial role in emergency care, rehabilitation, and long-term treatment. Many patients, particularly from ethnic minority communities, face significant financial difficulties, making access to essential care even more challenging.
Financial and Emotional Assistance for Patients
Vantage Foundation’s support focuses on critical cases, ensuring that the most vulnerable patients receive much-needed financial assistance. However, the organisation also recognises the importance of emotional wellbeing, with its team taking time to visit patients, offer words of encouragement, and engage with families.
Steven Xie, Executive Director of Vantage Foundation, described the visit as deeply moving:
“Meeting these patients and witnessing their resilience was incredibly powerful. At Vantage Foundation, we believe in making a real difference in the communities we serve. We hope our small gesture brings some comfort and relief to those undergoing treatment.”
The initiative was led by Ms Duong, Head of the Hospital’s Administration Department, who expressed gratitude for the foundation’s involvement:
“Many of our patients suffer from severe burns and financial hardship, especially those from remote ethnic communities. Support from benefactors like Vantage Foundation is vital in helping them through their recovery. On behalf of the hospital, I sincerely thank Vantage for their generosity and hope for continued support for those in need.”
A Broader Commitment to Community Welfare
This collaboration is part of Vantage Foundation’s wider mission to support healthcare, education, and social welfare initiatives. The organisation works closely with hospitals, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and local communities to bring about lasting change.
Beyond providing financial aid, the foundation is committed to raising awareness about the challenges burn patients face and encouraging further support from businesses and individuals.
The National Burn Hospital Le Huu Trac remains at the forefront of burn treatment in Vietnam, providing specialist medical care and long-term rehabilitation for patients of all ages. The hospital continues to seek support to improve resources, treatment options, and patient care facilities.
